Weekly poll results: the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a hit, a pricey hit

Xiaomi can pop open the champagne – last week’s poll shows that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be one of the best smartphones of 2024, even though it’s still quite early in the year. Good thing that the Ultra flagship is launching globally, unlike the Pro.

Looking at the results, a third of voters are ready to buy it right now and (if they are in Europe) they can do so as the phone is available on Xiaomi’s online stores.

However, some need more convincing and are holding off until the reviews come out. We have a hands-on review with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra for a closer look at the flagship and we will do a full review down the line.

That was half the voters so far, let’s look at the other half. Unfortunately and predictably, the €1,500 starting price of the Ultra is out of reach for many – a third of voters won’t spend that much on an phone, no matter how good it might be.

That only leaves around 20% of voters who don’t like the Ultra. To some, it’s just a mild improvement over the Xiaomi 13 Ultra from last year. There are a few 13 Ultra units left in stores, so you might trying getting one, however, these days it’s harder to find than ever. Of course, over time the price of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will fall as well.
