WhatsApp Chat filters will make the chats more accessible. Know how WhatsApp Chat filters will work.

WhatsApp is set to test new features and change its UI in order to make the chatting experience more convenient. A few weeks back, the instant-messaging app released a new feature that let users view all the starred messages and another change in UI while placing voice calls in the last WhatsApp beta update. And now, the Meta-owned messaging application has included a new button in the chat list. Known as ‘chat filters’, it will sort chat messages in a much better way.

WaBetaInfo report reveals that the WhatsApp chat filters feature, already available for business accounts for Android as well as iPhone users, will now be available in the latest WhatsApp update. “The new button shows up after installing the latest WhatsApp beta UWP 2.2216.4.0 update to everyone, and it lets users filter their chats,” the WaBetaInfo blog mentioned. The report further explained that you will be able to use this new feature.

So, there will be four filters available to the users – Unread, Contacts, Non-contacts, and Groups. These will let you sort out the chats according to these filters:

Unread: You will be able to filter out all your unread chats that will show up after selecting this filter.

Contacts: With this filter, WhatsApp will let you see a list of all contacts saved in your contact list.

Non-contacts: All those unsaved number chats will be filtered out in WhatsApp. This way you will be able to generate a list of all your unknown chats.

Groups: As the name suggests, WhatsApp will show a full list of all the groups that you’re part of or have been to in the past.

However, to get this new feature, all the beta users of WhatsApp need to ensure to update the app with the most recent version. When the feature will be rolled out to non-beta users in the future is not clear as yet.
