Instagram-powered Twitter rival platform Threads has launched and is exploding with new users arriving every second. But the executive chair and CTO Elon Musk is not one to back down easily. Just hours after Threads app’s launch, Musk has taken a dig at Instagram and explicitly stated that he does not prefer the social network app.
Replying to a tweet about Musk deleting his Instagram account in 2018, he said, “It is infinitely preferable to be attacked by strangers on Twitter, than indulge in the false happiness of hide-the-pain Instagram”. He was hinting at the perception of Instagram that users tend to exaggerate their success and happiness on the platform.
