How Vivo X Flip cover display’s placement may become more useful

0 42

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is reportedly planning to expand its foldable smartphone portfolio. The company may launch the Vivo X Fold 2 in April. Later on, the company is also expected to unveil its first foldable phone with a clamshell form factor, the Vivo X Flip. According to a report by 9to5Google, the flip phone’s new leaked images have revealed its large cover display. A Weibo account named Digital Chat Station has tipped the design of the X Flip. The pictures show the phone from the outside where the smartphone’s outer display is lit up and the camera is in full view.

Vivo X Flip: What to expect
The rumoured smartphone is expected to ship with a much larger outer display which may take up more than half of the outer portion of the phone. The cover screen is also expected to be placed in landscape mode and may stretch from one side to the other.

If measured diagonally the display might be of the same size as the one available on the Oppo Find N2 Flip. However, the landscape orientation is likely to make the screen more useful.

The round-shaped camera module will be placed under the display which may include at least two camera sensors. Rumours claim that the dual camera setup may house a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra wide angle lens.

Vivo X Flip may have a diamond pattern on the design. The smartphone is also likely to arrive in purple, just like the variants of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, Flip 4 and the latest Oppo Find N2 Flip.

The upcoming phone is also rumoured to feature a 6.8-inch inner display and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The report didn’t mention the tentative release date or any other details about the Vivo X Flip.
